What a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant! Great food, great skinny margaritas!
MoreNothing in this restaurante, is from the rich culinary Oaxaca cousine. I din't try the mezcal, but that's probably the only thing from Oaxaca.
MoreI wished I liked this so much. I had high hopes for the place. In reality; not a thing to write home about. Food was served in a big plate and priced like one, but there wasn't a lot in there. I ordered blacked chicken mole and I'd say I have almost half a chicken breast torn apart in mole sauce. Rice was good, beans was a meh-- and that was it. You can argue that it might be priced for the quality not quantity. No, the food was just ok-- nothing else special about it. Bottom line, I'd skip this place stick with Taco Don Roge.
MoreBest authentic food you’ll ever have from a Mexican food restaurant 🥘 Enjoyed the breakfast here 👌
MoreDelicious food with nice service and reasonably priced 👍
Best food ever. Excellent service. Best Estofado and Mole. Home made tortillas the best.
MoreOaxaca Fresh (WAH-ha-Ka) is a tasty authentic Mexican eatery. Their house-made chips and salsa are the best I've had. You won't get overly oily and salted foods here which is gladly welcomed. If you enjoy eating outdoors I've yet to be joined by any of earth's flying and buzzing creatures.
MoreIt wasn't anything fancy but it was good food. The chip salsa especially was delicious.
MoreOaxaca Fresh was a tasty option for grabbing a beer and some happy hour-esque appetizers (even though they don’t officially have a happy hour on the Saturday we went). The flautas and nachos were tasty and service was sincere and gave off a real family vibe. A quieter, more chill option than some other restaurants on this street.Walking distance from Amtrak’s Carpinteria Station, so if you’re in the area, it’s a good bet.
MoreFood was cold and very bland. Services was no better than the food. There was only two other tables so we were surprised at how long it took and we watched our food sit in the food window getting cold. And, as others have mentioned, the cook was whistling and singing the whole time. It didn’t really bother us but you could tell the other tables were annoyed.
MoreJohn, Maria & the entire staff are just lovely, oh & the avocado margarita is a must have!
MoreWent there for our 50 year surf club reunion. Da best fresh Mexican! Aloha to all
MoreAuthentic and we'll prepared with a good menu selection of full meals to ala carte. The crispy asada tacos are excellent as are the carnitas ones. Prepared to order but the chips or fresh and served with the house pico de gallo. Excellent iced tea and Arnold Palmer's, and soft drinks, beer, margaritas etc.
MoreSuper awesome find right by the beach. It has a beautiful patio for social distance eating and was very clean. Also the salsa was amazingly fresh and delicious!
MoreUnfortunately, we had a horrible experience here. The halibut tacos were not halibut, and the rice and beans came cold on a cold plate. I asked if they were indeed halibut, and the waitress said it was fish "like" halibut. My husband I I swear it was catfish :( As hungry as we were, we could not eat them. I do not recommend this place.
MoreGreat owners, food is fresh and high quality could use more seasoning to kick up the heat
MoreGood food😎
Pretty good food. Super friendly staff!!Will definitely go back!!
consistently good food! great Oaxaca style stuff. go for lunch often and its always good stuff! NOT bland....just talk to the nice folks and ask for spicy!
MoreSmall restaurant. Food was very bland and the whistling cook was horribly annoying (It was addressed after I spoke to the server). I will not be going back!
MoreGreat service and outside seating. The Chile verde burrito was great, but the grilled fish tacos (sea bass) were just ok. The fish had very little flavor and no seasoning to speak of. They do have some great specials too. Prices are not bad.
MoreGreat food ,and awesome service
Amazing food, so friendly!!
Beat margaritas and chilaquiles in a loooong time
